Caturday at the Kanes

Robing poor Paul to pay poor Peter

Newt Gingrich :

"Most of these schools ought to get rid of the unionized janitors, have one master janitor and pay local students to take care of the school. The kids would actually do work, they would have cash, they would have pride in the schools, they'd begin the process of rising."
From : http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1111/68729.html

Yes. During a recession with 30% un and underemployment, lets 'get rid' of someone trying to earn a living for their family and put them in poverty so that we can give a student a part time job.

The Daily Herman Cain

'JOURNAL SENTINEL: Would you favor a military strike against Iran to stop that country from developing a nuclear capability'?

'CAIN: That is not a practical, top-tier alternative and here’s why. If you look at the topography of Iran. Where are you going to strike? It’s very mountainous. That’s what makes it very difficult'.
From : http://thinkprogress.org/security/2011/11/16/369994/cain-attack-iran-mountains/

And THEN.........................

'Newt Gingrich said a Gingrich-Hermain Cain ticket would be "a real possibility" if he won the Republican presidential nomination'.
From : http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/194103-gingrich-says-gingrich-cain-ticket-could-happen

Note to Newt : Do you remember 'historian' when Sen. McCain picked Sarah Palin for his VP? Someone, and yes it's hard to believe, that knew and knows more then Cain?
Independents (who you will need to win) didn't want an idiot like Palin one step away from being President.

How do you think Independents will react to Herman (Call Me Crazy) Cain?

ROTFFLMFAO!!!!!

The not so 'free' enterprise in America

This song says it all and so much better then I ever could :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcBWlblRDjg&feature=player_embedded#!

America is about us - people. Or was suppose to be. The more we give to the 'job creators' the less there is for those of us who do and will need it.

And looking around, doesn't look like a whole lot of 'job creatings' being done so just what ARE they doing or what more could THEY possibliy want?

'Citizens for Tax Justice has analyzed corporate tax rates from 2008 to 2010. The report [PDF] examines over half of the Fortune 500 companies'.

'Perhaps it’s no surprise that the richest industries get the biggest subsidies, starting with finance and Big Energy.  That’s how the 1% operate'.

'Notably, 56 percent of the total tax subsidies went to just four industries: financial, utilities, tele-communications, and oil, gas & pipelines'.
From : http://thinkprogress.org/romm/2011/11/13/366988/over-half-of-all-us-tax-subsidies-go-to-four-industries-guess-which-ones/

So how much did the Government subsidize YOU today? Why are our taxes used to support these industries? Can't they make it on their own?

But lets keep supporting private companies with our taxes. In fact, lets cut Government spending in health care, education even Social Security so that we can balance the Federal Budget and protect these companies and their Govenment subsisies.

Why 'pay it forward' for all of us so we can have a tomorrow when a few want to grab more for themselves today.

Maybe there's a reason we 'can't make it here.'

(Thanks to http://www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2011/11/song-of-the-99 for the link to the song and some thoughts.)

When even Grover Norquist 'isn't Conservative enough'

'One person interrupted, as I recall, and said, “C’mon, Grover, surely one day a Democrat will win the White House.”

'Norquist immediately replied: “We will make it so that a Democrat cannot govern as a Democrat.”
From : http://www.washingtonpost.com/how-grover-norquist-hypnotized-the-gop/2011/06/30/AGYOUlsH_story.html

'The oldest and most pernicious of these modern oaths was dreamed up by Grover Norquist, the leader of Americans for Tax Reform, who has managed to get 95 percent of all Republicans in Congress to pledge never to raise taxes for any reason'.
From : http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/19/opinion/19tue1.html?_r=1

And now.......................

'Conservative editor Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily is calling for Norquist to be thrown out of the conservative movement that he helped build'.

'Grover Norquist is not a conservative true believer. He may have been at one time. But he is no longer – that’s for certain. Maybe, like other politicians, he’s just been around Washington too long. Here’s the scorecard you should consider':

'• He’s shockingly pro-Islamist and has used his well-developed connections in Washington to spread the tentacles of stealthy jihad through the corridors of power, including the White House'.

'• He’s is unashamedly pro-perversion, given his position on the advisory board of GOProud'.

'• And he is a phony economic conservative who helped mislead tea-party Republicans in control of the House of Representatives this year giving Obama all the money he needed to keep destroying the free-enterprise system through the end of his term'.
From : http://www.addictinginfo.org/2011/11/14/eating-their-own-conservative-editor-calls-for-ouster-of-grover-norquist-from-conservative-movement/

A lot of 'cracks' were appearing in the Norquist pledge
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2804699/posts

and Farah has little to no sway in general Republican circles. Just another minority trying to force the majority further and further right.

The Military Industrial Complex - part 1368

'In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist'.
From : Military-Industrial Complex Speech, Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961

Is China 'forcing' these companies to take the counterfeit parts?

Or are the companies, as they have in the past, just looking the other way because the bottom line is better?

'China is dumping counterfeit electronic parts into the Pentagon’s supply chain, two senior lawmakers alleged on Monday, putting U.S. troops at risk and undercutting the American economy'.

'Reviewing more than 100,000 pages of Defense Department documents and material from more than 70 companies, the panel’s investigators found about 1,800 cases of suspect counterfeit electronics being sold to the Pentagon. The total number of parts in these cases topped 1 million'.

'The committee hearing will examine three cases in which suspect counterfeit parts from China were installed in military systems made by Raytheon, L-3 Communications and Boeing'.

Congress helping the 'poor'

'A new congressional analysis, put together by Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) and obtained by Newsweek, finds
Americans earning more than $1 million a year "collect more than $30 billion in government largesse each year'."

"In all, millionaires receive hefty help from Uncle Sam. The $30 billion in handouts, to put it in perspective, amounts to twice as much as the government spends on NASA, and three times the budget of the Environmental Protection Agency. On the other hand, it would only cover the cost of fighting about three months in Iraq and Afghanistan. Still, eliminating them would help make a small dent in the $1.5 trillion congressional leaders are trying to find by Thanksgiving."

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month

Some of us are old enough to remember that today use to be observed as Armistice Day.

I was only 2 but 5-6 years later the change was still new enough that I understood what the change was and why it happened.

99% of us who served didn't do so to boast about it or add it to our resume. It was, for right or wrong, our duty. Following the orders of the leaders of our Nation to protect and defend our Constitution.

Some gave all. All gave some.

Remember that.

A couple of great organizations if you want to do more then pay lip service to those who served are :

http://www.operationhomefront.net/

An hour of your time. An hour of your pay. If you can. As you can.

This is teabaggerism

Only a fool wants to 'kill the messenger' without really looking at the message :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgMWhrCzbdk

http://gawker.com/5808271/sarah-palin-explains-paul-reveres-midnight-ride

http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2011/11/01/note-to-herman-cain-china-already-is-a-nuclear-power/

http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-04-01/news/29386444_1_birtherism-trump-brand-donald-trump

And this is only a small sampling.

Each and everyone of these has been and one still is and I think WILL remain on or near the top (Cain) of the Republican Presidential field over the last 6 months. I left off Perry because I and most of the Nation is still laughing our collective asses off at his response of which 3 Departments he'd cut.

When you put out and SUPPORT with a constant 30% of the Republican voters, such ignorant people and expect America to actually listen seriously? Really?

A minority within the Republican Party is attempting to force the Party to go further and further 'right'.

Eric Erickson of Red State and Rush Limbaugh have both declared that Romney 'is not Conservative' and are actively supporting Cain.

I think Cain will stay at or near the top because of things like Rush coming out and degrading the Cain's accusers. That and by the process of elimanation - he is the 'last man standing'. Gingrich by default will raise up but only because Perry is going down. Once the spotlight is on Gingrich, he will show why he is the past and not the future of the Republican party because of HIS past.

A good example of the 'bad Newt' :
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/192915-gingrich-mocks-perry-over-oops-moment-at-detroit-campaign-stop

And the teabaggers know this is their only chance of getting into the Presidential race.
That's why more and more people believe that Romney won't have enough delegates to wrap it up, it will become a brokered Convention and led by Karl Rove, they will try to get Bush (Jeb), Christie, Daniels or Pawlenty to run against Obama. (Pawlenty left too soon).

And when that 30% of the Republican base DOESN'T get 'their' man?

The fecal matter hits the oscillating rotary blade device and the Republicans grasp defeat from what should have been the easy jaws of victory.

That is teabaggerism.

America and Americans deserved a serious debate. Instead we got teabagged. And the time lost because we AREN'T having a serious debate is going to only make it so much worse.

Sunday Picks for Thursday on a Wednesday

Week 10

THU, NOV 10

Oakland at San Diego - Pick - San Diego
Going with the one I think least likely to lose. Big plus? The Chargers play against the best team in football last week.

SUN, NOV 13

Baltimore at Seattle - Pick - A bye week for Seattle. Baltimore
If you can't beat Dallas with the 'new' running game, what chance to they have against a team that can stop the run? That and Jackson throwing 3 int.

Arizona at Philadelphia - Pick - Phily
Shouldn't have been that hard to pick but realisticly they both are sub par.

Tennessee at Carolina - Pick - Carolina
Just home team advantage over two 'who care's' teams. Warning!! Since I've picked Carolina they will lose.

Houston at Tampa Bay - Pick - Houston
Tampa CAN play great. If THAT team shows up. Houston sees the playoffs and Tampa doesn't.

Washington at Miami - Pick - Miami
Why not?

Jacksonville at Indianapolis - Pick - Jacksonville
Indy needs to lose to stay on top for the #1 draft pick.

Denver at Kansas City - Pick - Kansas City
I think they bounce back from the thumping.

Buffalo at Dallas - Pick - Buffalo
While everybody is talking about how great Dallas played, - it was against the Hawks. Buffalo ain't the Hawks.

New Orleans at Atlanta - Pick - New Orleans
Again tweo teams you don't know who is going to show up.

St. Louis at Cleveland - Pick - Cleveland
So many why bother games this week. But that always happens latter in the season.

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati - Pick - Pittsburgh

NY Giants at San Francisco - Pick - San Fran

Detroit at Chicago - Pick - Detroit
Game of the week.

New England at NY Jets - New..................................York Jets

Kudos to Zander Versus The Stupid for that and Bon The Geek's comments :
'Maximum stupidity, a stupidity so dense and heavy that it brings down any intellectual measurements.  A stupidity so huge that it creates a stupidity orbit, which snatches little stray pieces of stupidity into its realm by pure massive attraction'.

The 1%

The Occupy Wall Street movement has put the bulk of the attention on the leaderless and directionless 99%.

But what about the 1%?

Not that they have wealth but what is the reason, purpose use of their wealth?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCNKn7JirBU&feature=player_embedded

The first of 8 videos.

'Jamie Johnson, an heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune made a documentary in 2006... and it's really engaging and well-done. The first of eight YouTubes of it is above and that one will allow you to find the other seven'.

'Mr. Johnson insists he's not opposed to wealth-- including his own. Wealth, he says, has given him a great education, freedom, chances to travel and, best of all, the resources to do films about wealth. He says that while his documentaries are profitable, they wouldn't pay for his lifestyle'.

'Yet with The One Percent, Mr. Johnson wanted to show how the rich have gone too far. Through interviews with economists, policy experts and environmentalists, Mr. Johnson argues that today's wealthy have become an increasingly isolated elite. He says rather than using their wealth for good, they have used it to restructure the economy, lower their taxes, cut social programs for the middle and lower classes, and amass ever more wealth'.

Don't count Cain out - the teabaggers 'Superman'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQrTGE4wwwA&feature=related

He is an idiot when it comes to policy or just basic knowledge of economics, foreign policy, US history, Government......well it's easier to say what he is good at - talking.

And THAT caters to his base - the teabaggers. The 'It's not what you say but how you say it' party.
But this :
http://www.suntimes.com/8592168-417/sneed-witness-says-cain-accuser-hugged-him-during-tea-party-meeting-a-month-ago.html

And this :
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/ct-met-herman-cain-accuser-1108-20111108,0,4035523.story

and the fact that the teabaggers WILL have a Presidential Candidate one way or the other or will tear the party apart, are why you shouldn't count Cain out.

They have gone through Bachmann, The Donald, Perry. Cain is the Last Man Standing or else they have to relook at Perry or go to Newt.

Romney is out of touch with the populus movement and Newt was a failure in the 90's and is even slower today so also out of touch and has a whole lot more baggage then Cain has.

So it's Cain. Throw dirt on him, they'll dig up dirt to throw back.

How's that for the party known for 'family values'?

Still don't believe in Republican Obstructionism?

You're in the minority.

First there was the Suffolk poll but that was only for Florida : 'Poll: Even Wingers Think That Wingers are Tanking the Economy'
From : http://motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2011/11/poll-even-wingers-think-wingers-are-tanking-economy

And now a National poll :

'The Post poll asks people to choose between two options. This':

'Option #1 - “President Obama is making a good faith effort to deal with the country’s economic problems, but the Republicans in Congress are playing politics by blocking his proposals and programs.” Or this':

'Option #2 -“President Obama has not provided leadership on the economy, and he is just blaming the Republicans in Congress as an excuse for not doing his job'.”

'The toplines: Americans agree with the first statement over the second one, 50-44'.

'* Independents favor statement one over statement two by 54-40'.

'* Moderates favor statement one over statement two by 57-37'.

'The overall number is lower, at 50 percent, because a hilarously meager nine percent of Republicans believe this to be the case'.
From : http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/post/independents-and-moderates-agree-gop-deliberately-sabotaging-obamas-jobs-policies/2011/11/07/gIQAPMfSvM_blog.html

A Nation is made up of people. Not balance sheets.

We have 30 million people un or underemployed. Millions of foreclosed homes. States and cities cutting back on services as more and more people need them. Health care based on ability to pay not need of care. Education system failing and falling behind. Roads, beidges and waterways crumbling.

And a political party more focused on 'balancing the budget'.

A Nation is made up of people. Not balance sheets.

But maybe it will give the Republican politicans a warm feeling when they finally 'balance the books' and then look up to see 15%, 18%, 22% of Americams living in poverty.

Put America Back To Work. Once America Is Working, Then Balance The Books.

Mitt Romney - just 'one of the guys'

From : http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/11/07/romney-complains-federal-employees-make-more-than-he-does/

'Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's personal wealth — up to $250 million — survived the nation's economic crisis, according to figures released Friday. But his pledge to sell off interests that conflict with his GOP stances did not extend to some investments in a family charity'.

'The new records make clear that Romney is much wealthier than President Barack Obama or any of Romney's GOP opponents. The immense fortune controlled by Romney and his wife, Ann, is worth $190 million to $250 million — within the same range as his 2007 presidential financial disclosure records, his campaign said'.

They won't dare to filibuster the Veterans legislation.

'After two pieces of their jobs bill failed in the Senate because Republicans unanimously opposed offsetting their cost with a tax on millionaires, Senate Democrats have picked another piece of the jobs bill without including such a tax'.

'Next week, Senate Democrats said, they will vote on the “Vow to Hire Heroes Act of 2011,” which would provide incentives to employers for making the hiring of veterans a priority'.

'”There are 14 million veterans who are out there trying to find work every day and it’s time that we can do something for them,” Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., said today. “Veterans are not a partisan issue. They are something we can all get behind.”

'A positive first step is The Veteran Opportunity to Work (VOW) Act, recently introduced to the House by Republican VA Committee Chairman Jeff Miller of Florida. The VOW Act would open doors for new veterans by creating the job training needed to stay competitive in this economy. It would mandate Transition Assistance Programs (TAP) for all separating service members, help military personnel acquire civilian certificates, and strengthen USERRA laws to protect Reservists and National Guardsmen who leave civilian jobs behind when they deploy. It is an important piece of legislation, and similar to the Hiring Heroes Act of 2011, which is currently making its way to the Senate floor under the guidance of Senate Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Patty Murray of Washington'.

Caturday At The Kanes

(GRINS!)

'Credibility'

Well it's not the first time I've been said to lose all 'credibility.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5hXtGkzZ9k&feature=related

This isn't just the 'liberals' saying this. This is now main stream politics. And nothing, NOTHING speaks louder to it then the actions of the Republicans in general. Cutting funding for social programs when they are most desperately needed, keeping millions from even a hope of work all so that they can remove President Obama.

Our Nation IS IN CRISIS. As I've said before, they MAY blame Obama for trying and failing - but they WILL blame Republicans for not even trying.

The 'wave' in politics this coming election may well be to replace the 'Party of No' with people who will 'Do Something - Even If's It's Wrong'.
See : http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_11/polling_the_sabotage_question033252.php

'This led to a striking email, sent to the Obama for America list this afternoon, from Jim Messina, the campaign manager for Obama/Biden 2012. The message reads, in part:

'“Their strategy is to suffocate the economy for the sake of what they think will be a political victory. They think that the more folks see Washington taking no action to create jobs, the better their chances in the next election. So they’re doing everything in their power to make sure nothing gets done.”

'Michael Cohen, a senior fellow at American Security Project, apparently following up on a discussion I launched last November, recently said, “We’re far past the point where there is reason to doubt that the GOP is purposely trying to harm” the economy'.

'Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), vice chairman of the Senate Democratic Conference, believes “some” Republicans “want the economy to actually fail” on purpose. Paul Krugman recently said in his column, “[I]t’s hard to avoid the suspicion that G.O.P. leaders actually want the economy to perform badly.” Eugene Robinson, a Pulitzer Prize winner, was recently asked whether it’s possible Republicans would sabotage the economy. “Well, let me be honest,” he said. “It has occurred to me that this is a possibility.”

Throughout my life, political parties have always tried to best their opposition. But in the end, Country came first.

But three years ago, a 'movement' took over the Republican Party. A minority, who in a minute know they can get on FOX because it boosts FOX's ratings, have turned a once proud political Party into a group lead by what once was the fringe of the Party.

Having ousted the 'Eisenhower' and 'Reagan' Republicans as 'not Conservative enough', they now are set on a course of stagnation, holding America down, thinking this is how they will 'take their ountry back'.

We are past the tipping point. The damage to our Country, Americans, is incredible.

The future of education in shambles. Our roads, bridges, waterways deteroiting. Our health care for profit system, favoring ability to pay above need of care. Our Standard of living, our quality of life, the middle class
Americans, slowly dying as the 'need of the few outweigh the wants of many'.

We are in crisis. THIS shouldn't be about politics. It SHOULD be about putting AMERICA back to work.

It should be about Country.

It CAN'T be about waiting 14 months to 'see' if we change Presidents. Because in 14 months, there won't be much of America left.

'.....to insure that Barack Obama is not re-elected'?

'Poll: Even Wingers Think That Wingers are Tanking the Economy'

'Via Steve Benen, here's a fascinating little poll result. It's from Suffolk University and it's limited to registered voters in Florida, but it's still the first time I've ever seen this question polled':

'Do you think the Republicans are intentionally stalling efforts to jumpstart the economy to insure that Barack Obama is not re-elected'?

'Results are below. What's interesting isn't just that half of all voters think the answer is yes, it's the breakdown: a quarter of all Republicans and a third of all conservatives also think the answer is yes. In other words, this isn't just a liberal conspiracy theory. Even a lot of conservatives recognize what's going on. I wouldn't make too much of a single state poll, but those numbers are high enough that they might represent a glimmering recognition of something that's only been Beltway chatter up to now. If even their own supporters start to believe that they're deliberately tanking the economy for partisan gain, it could spell trouble for Republicans.1 It would be interesting to see further polling on this question at a national level'.

'1Assuming, of course, that conservatives who understand what's going on actually disapprove of this. If they hate Obama enough, they might think it's actually a fine and dandy strategy'.

Cutting taxes to create jobs

'New Jersey Policy Perspective (NJPP) noted, the Garden State offered food company Goya $80 million in tax incentives last month, for which the state will receive precisely nine jobs in return':

'Imagine you are a New Jersey job seeker (one of 418,000 unemployed in the state as of September, 2011, according to the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development) and you read in the news that a firm will be getting a state subsidy to hire 175 new workers. You would be thrilled to see those new job opportunities in the state, right'?

'But, in the case of Goya Foods, Inc., only nine truly new jobs are being created'.

'Nine'.

'Of the other 166 “new” workers, 66 would be moved from Goya’s location in Bethpage, New York and 100 already work for Goya as contractors based in Secaucus, according to documents from the state Economic Development Authority (EDA). So these “new” workers are actually existing employees'.

'In addition to $80 million from the state, Goya could receive a property tax break from Jersey City'.
From : http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/11/02/359776/new-jersey-goya-nine-jobs/

Gotta protect those 'job creators'.

'Gold Fraud'

Sung to the theme from 'Goldfinger'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MagCoUYvIXE

'Goldline International, the precious metal retailer that has capitalized on conservatives’ anxiety about the economy by forging synergistic relationships with right wing TV and radio hosts, is facing a new series of legal challenges after authorities filed criminal charges against the company and its executives yesterday'.

'The city attorney in Santa Monica, California, where the company is based, has filed 19 criminal charges of fraud and theft against the company.'

'While former Fox News conspiracy-theorist Glenn Beck is most closely associated with Goldline, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Mark Levin, former GOP presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Fred Thompson, and several Fox News hosts, among others, have all endorsed the company'.

Another useless proposed Constitutional Amendment

'Democratic Sens. Tom Udall of New Mexico and Michael Bennet of Colorado introduced a constitutional amendment on Tuesday that would overturn the U.S. Supreme Court’s controversial 2010 decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission'.

'The proposed amendment would grant Congress and the states the authority to regulate the campaign finance system, but would not dictate any specific policies or regulations'.
From : http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/11/01/sens-udall-bennet-propose-bill-to-overturn-citizens-united-ruling/

And if a State is dominated by one political party, they will simply pass laws and regulations favoring their party.

Yes lets just add some more laws and regualtions.

The best idea I've seen so far is to take away ALL regulations, laws, restrictions. Complete unlimited fund raising and spending - but with complete transparentacy.

None of it will happen because the very people that need to pass any type of campaign finance reform are the very people that benefit the most.

Herm Cain going down for the count?

Naw.

The far right has run out of anybody else so it's Herm or back to Rick The Dick or Batshit Bachmann.

Just setting aside things like running his campaign 'On the Constitution' and then quoting from the Declaration of Independence.

Not knowing what the 'right of return' was.

Putting forth a 'tax plan' that would reduce tax rates for upper incomes and raise tax rates for lower incomes AND add a Natioanl Sales Tax. But wait! He'd exempt tax for poor people on food. A 'poor peoples tax exempt card'. And no thoughts on how to devise a plan to make that possible!

And setting aside the sexual harrassment charges. Which we shouldn't and if the one complainant does speak out? Watch Herm belittle a woman that was paid a settlement because of him. That'll get him lots of votes.

And then not knowing that China isn't looking for nuclear capibility - China already has it and HAS FOR YEARS.

Just how out of touch with the real World is Herm anyway?

And now? Campaign finance fraud :

'Early in his candidacy, Herman Cain may have accepted tens of thousands of dollars in goods and services for his campaign from a tax-exempt organization founded by his top aide, documents from the organization show, raising the prospect of serious violations of tax and election law by both Mr. Cain’s campaign and the organization'.

'The documents suggest that the nonprofit organization, Prosperity USA, effectively subsidized some early costs of his presidential bid, paying for computer equipment, charter planes and air travel for Mr. Cain or the aide, Mark Block, who is his chief of staff'.

'Such expenditures would violate federal election and campaign laws, which prohibit tax-exempt groups from engaging in any political activity or contributing to election campaigns, a major problem for Mr. Cain'.

And more :
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_11/cain_vows_full_investigation_i033217.php

Newt and Rick have maybe a month to take away Herm's 30% of the far right Republican votes. But newt represents the 'old' Republican Party and Perry is just dumb.

Rick has apparently taken to the bottle :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M4gz97Y9W8&feature=player_embedded

AND still campaigning too!

And Newt?

Much like Romney, the establishment GOP just doesn't want either of them to take on President Obama.
Romney isn't even a Conservative. Just ask Rush.

Leading to a draft movement for the Convention?

Christie? Bush? Daniels?

Did Tim Pawlenty get out too soon?
http://www.tnr.com/blog/timothy-noah/96903/did-tim-pawlenty-blow-it

America deserved an intelligent, rational response from the Republican Party to President Obama's lack of leadership.

This is what they are offering?

US Bank President to COuntry - 'Get over it'
'US Bank President Richard Davis addressed the 1% at a Minnesota Chamber of Commerce luncheon this afternoon while the 99% protested outside'.

'The "Golden Boy of Wall Street," as the New York Times recently dubbed him, was there to discuss the chamber's 2012 legislative priorities -- none of which include housing, the foreclosure crisis, or banking issues, although "tax reform" is on the agenda as the body's "major policy initiative."
'In a speech lasting about half an hour, Davis did not address the Occupy movement sweeping the country'.
"'Everybody's breaking the rules, blah blah blah,'" Davis said at one point, admonishing the assembled business leaders to "get over it."

Kane in Good Company

Actually I feel that I am in good company in My Path.

Religion should bring a person tranquillity, peace, comfort, guidance, purpose or whatever a person is seeking and needs.

Any attempt to 'justify' one's religion to another is fruitless as they are seeking their own wants and needs and their wants and needs should not influence yours.

Follow a Path that brings you happiness and fulfilment but do not allow others to determine what is YOUR happiness or fulfilment.

Now if you're talking about the science or factual recounting of some events, that is another story. However most of that can be taken as faith or rejected as science or taken as science and rejected as faith.

A twist on the 'glass half empty or full' dogma.

A 'Pox' on us and maybe in your mailbox

Just when you think people can't get any more stupid........

'Doctors and medical experts are concerned about a new trend taking place on Facebook. Parents are trading live viruses through the mail in order to infect their children'.

'The Facebook group is called “Find a Pox Party in Your Area.” According to the group’s page, it is geared toward “parents who want their children to obtain natural immunity for the chicken pox.”

'On the page, parents post where they live and ask if anyone with a child who has the chicken pox would be willing to send saliva, infected lollipops or clothing through the mail'.

'Medical experts say the most troubling part of this is parents are taking pathogens from complete strangers and deliberately infecting their children'.

'A Facebook post reads, “I got a Pox Package in mail just moments ago. I have two lollipops and a wet rag and spit.” Another woman warns, “This is a federal offense to intentionally mail a contagion.”

'Another woman answers, “Tuck it inside a zip lock baggy and then put the baggy in the envelope  Don’t put anything identifying it as pox'.
